There was no Bo Peep.

i just came back from watching this movie.
i can still remember the day when i watched the first movie.
i believe it came out when i was in kindergarten or maybe standard 1.
this movie reminded me many fond memories,
as any Disney movie would.
but i dont noe, maybe coz ive not been myself lately that i find this movie
very close to heart.

the movie felt honest in its message delivery.
it felt genuine and true.
i interpreted the movie as
when we grow up, we would alwaiz have items (in this case toys)
that we hold on to coz we find it sentimental and holds value.
but we must alwaiz remember that the memories would not die
if we let those items go, it would only allow
other people to create those same find memories as well..

growth is not about keeping and holding of memories but
knowing when to let them go so that we allow oursleves to experience new ones.

honestly,
i felt like crying when the movie came to an end.
15 years.
15 years have been spent knowing the characters in this movie.
all of them had a function and added depth in the movie.
its a pity that Bo Peep was sold off and didnt have any screen time.
but still my fav is Mr and Mrs Potato Head.

let me explain why.
they emulate a fine and dandy couple
yes, they do bicker and fight but u still can see and feel the love
they have for each other eventho they are only animations.
their teamwork and the fact they are alwaiz together makes them my fav.

it breaks my heart that the movie is over.
but as the movie thought me,
when we love somtin, we need to learn to let go
and let other people love it as well.
i give the movie a A+.
my fav movie so far this year.

toodles.

Somtin to be eaten with Nasi Kandar

i was out last thursday with a few frewns..
the movie was kinda nice,
but i just felt like ive seen better Malay movies..
well, I think so la..

the movie is about the real life
wishes of Adflin Shauki as a father to her
real life daughter
Miasara.

the story basically revolves around Adflin
who is a overprotective father to her
only daughter Miasara, after the death of her wife.
Miasara is played by Liyana Jasmay.

the story shows how a father can
sacrifice his life in order to
protect her daughter.

in my opinion,
the story is just ok la...
its heart warming and all...
but after watching for an hour,
i noticed myself looking at my watch every 10 minutes or so..

but for u Malay movies enthusiasts,
dont take my word for it,
go and watch it urselves...

am i good or wat?

how bout it?
three movies in three days!
and its ramadhan....

Friday nite, Saturday nite and sunday afternoon
was three days of which i spent my days with three
flocks of friends...

on friday nite i went to watch Up
with mizie, hilman,
kak syaza and her bf, Faliq (if im not mistaken)
the movie was really fun and funny.
but for me the movie also stimulated a few
emotional buttons.
the story started of quite sad and ended really emotionally as well...
i enjoyed it very much.

saturday was 'I love you, Beth Cooper'
the movie was funny and stupid at some parts....
a typical chick flick if u ask me.
but watching it with my bestfriend,
it was a great nite.
and yesterday i watched Aliens In the Attic with my 2 sisters
this movie i believe was actually better
that the one i watched on Saturday
its funny, and fun
and theres also parts with decent Special Effects...

and the winner
for this weekend goes to
'UP!'

all in all,
great weekend!
hahaha...
ramadhan kot...

Antique

as promised,
i said i wanted to comment stuff i like from Korea.
so this time i just wanna share this movie i found
which is very funny and worth the time..
but im sure a few of you would have already seen this.

so the title of the movie is
Antique.
among the cast are
Joo Ji Hoon, Kim Jae Wook, Yoo Ah In and Choi Ji Ho

and was released on November 13, 2008.

some of you will recognise
Joo Ji hoon from the series 'Princess Hours'
as Prince Lee Shin
and Kim Jae Wook from the series 'Coffee Prince'
as No Sun-Ki the Japanese talking pancake maker.

ok, so the movie is mostly about the struggles of Jin-Hyuk (Ji Hoon)
the owner of a cake shop called 'Antique'
to tell u the truth, the shop is only named so
because they serve cakes on antique plates.
Jin-Hyuk was kidnapped as a child and was badly traumatised.
but he doesnt recall anythin from the incident.
the only thing he could remember was that the kidnapper
would feed him cakes everyday.
using this bit of info,
after 20 years,
he decided to open a cake shop to lure the yet to be caught kidnapper.

i cant tell you too much, can i?
if not i would spoil it for u...

the movie also tell the story of the workers at the cake shop.
like the chef Sun-Woo,
who is gay and once confessed this love
to Jin-Hyuk when they were schooling together..
his story revolves around the fact that his live had change
since the rejection and how he has never been rejected since.

then there is the former boxing champion, Ki Beom
who can no longer box due to an injury
and now is under the wing of Sun-Woo to become a top pastry chef.

and also the klutzy Soo Yeong who's family works for Jin-Hyuk.
so making Soo Yeong a childhood friend of Jin-Hyuk.
He is in love with Sun-Woo though he thinks Sun-Woo doesn't feel the same way

The film was exhibited at the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2009.
As the movie is depicted from a Japanese manga,
the names have been change into Korean names but still
maintaining the original storyline and plots.

so, its totally worth to spend a quite night
to watch this quite amuzing movie.
with its animated characters and steady pace.
im sure many of u will find this movie quite intersting.
it can easily be found in youtube.

so, watcha waiting for?
go check it out!
toodles!

::tanx to Amir for the heads up!::

fluff, stairs and essays...

as i said...

its all visual art la now...

in the morning.

first day of finals...
it was for the subject BM kerjaya...
i wrote a 5 page essay...
in 45 minutes...
enough said...
im so proud of myself...

afternoon.

J, Nina, fiza and me went to the cineleisure to watch that movie...
it was a nice chick flick.
the book is way better..
but i had a good time laughing...
i needed the break.

i look extremely happy dont i?

evening.

RA finally did an event after almost a year hiatus...
this time it was a pillow fight..
suppose to be the international pillow fight day...
and we were among the residents of the world who is celebating it...

i initially brought along a cushion from the car,
but then upon arriving at the gathering point...
i was that everybody was holding a pillow atleast twice the size of mine...
i fealt a sudden bump in my stomach...
i was so gonna get pummeled..

so i decided to go buy a bigger pillow.
i went running around The Curve looking for a place that sell pillows..
and by the time i found one,
i was already sweating like a pig...
the pillow was RM 25.
i got it for RM6...
hahahahaha!
how lucky was i?

as seen in the pic above i was in the
white team along with J and hanif..

among the mischief i still manage to take a break
and had a chat with hanif...

HIT HER!!!
SHE'S ONE OF THE POLICE!!

we manage to take a pic among all the residue of the fallen pillows...
mind u, that
almost everybody's pillow riped and was ruined.
but not J, hanip and me...
???
ours was still in one piece...

after the brawl..
all the participants took a pic together as a souvenier...
look at me at the back..
i had no idea which camera to look at.

takin a pic with Jules...
im such a fan!
hahaha...
yet again, i look like a dork!

on our way back from the Curve we stoped at Batu Caves...
i just found it was about time i climb the stairs...
i just want to experience the hike...
i didnt think that i would be that hard...
but i did sweat quite a bit.

so now i can claim that i have already
climbed all 272 steps at Batu Caves!

one more pic with such a dorky face..
hahaha..
such a fun day.

have a great weekend!
toodles.
