Lonely

Potato eaters

i did this topic during my parenting class and

i find it very interesting.

a lot of my relatives and frens are facing this situation.

im not saying its bad or good.

but this is wat is happening now.

Single parent

A single parent also known as a lone parent and sole parent is a parent who cares for one or more children without the support of another parent in the home. "Single parenthood" may vary according to the local laws of different nations or regions.

Single-parent families are generally categorized by the sex of the custodial parent mother-only or father-only families. Mother-only families include widows, divorced and separated women, and never-married mothers. In the case of divorce, mothers are usually given custody in the United States and other developed countries. In Italy, in 1997, for example, 90 percent of children whose parents divorced went into the custody of their mothers. Since the vast majority of single parents are mothers, most of the research focuses on female-headed families. However, regardless of sex, single parents share similar problems and challenges.

Single parenthood may occur for a variety of reasons. It could be choice by the parent but not just because of divorce, there is also cases of adoptions, artificial inseminations, surrogate motherhoods, or extramarital pregnancies, or be the result of an unforeseeable event such as death or abandonment by one parent

Demographics

According to the US Census Bureau report, in the US the percentage of households headed by single parents has remained fairly stable between 1994 and 2006 at about 9%. By comparison, that number was at 5% in 1970.

Most single parents are female. In the past few years there are more men heading single parent families. 2 million households in the US are headed by unmarried fathers.

According to Families and Living Arrangements: 2006, there were 12.9 million one-parent families in 2006, 10.4 million single-mother families and 2.5 million single-father families. Data are from the 2006 Current Population Survey’s (CPS) Annual Social and Economic Supplement (ASEC), conducted in February, March and April at about 100,000 addresses nationwide. In 2003, 14% of all Australian households were single-parent families. Since 2001, 31% of babies born in Australia were born to unmarried mothers. Many of these mothers may not be single parents, as they may simply live with their supportive partners without getting formally married.

In the United Kingdom, there are 5.9 million single parents as of 2005, with 3.1 million children. About 1 out of 4 families with dependent children are single-parent families. According to a survey done by the United Kingdom, 9% of single parents in the UK are fathers, UK poverty figures show that 47% of single parent families are below the Government-defined poverty line after considering the housing costs.

all in all.

its a pity that marriages cant last till daeth do us part.

but we cant deny that things are just meant to be,

and people do grow apart.

not a very good tyme

Training Ground

most people have a very precious that the hold very dear to their heart.
a locket
a book
a watch
a pair of shoes
a pendant
a brooch
anything u can think of...
somebody in the world holds it dear to their hearts.
no matter wat ever happens,
people will do anythin to protect it.
i hold my frens just the same way.
dont make them sad.
dont make them cry.
dont make them unhappy.
(unless they asked for it....)

i will wish for somethin to happen back to u as how u did to them,

'Allah tue maha adil'

i may not be able to pay back personally.
but u just wait.
it will happen.
plz dont mistreat them.
my friends are normal human being just like u.
they are entitled the same respect just like u.
they have feelings just like u.

my frens do do mistakes.
and i totally get angry at them.
i may not know the whole story,
and i may be invading.
ill say sorry in advance.

but plz.
reflect on wat u have done as an individual.
did the things u did just now reflect who u are?

i am not angry.
i am not blaming anybody.

i am merely dissapointed.

i am dissapointed in everybody,
including my frens as this has got out of hand.
plz get this settled.
i dont like seeing my frens like this.

as weird as u are.

u are my family.

toodles.

yesterday i was a part of a very important event in the Islamic Calender...
Maulidur Rasul...

i had to participate in a concert organized by Rabbani to celebrate the occasion.
i was fantastic...
i had to participate in two songs...
one is a pantomime, related to the moment Rasulullah was born...
an abstract piece where we had to imitate the moment where the arab jahili was scared of the birth of a person who is goin to bring a new begining to humankind....
it was nice to look at...
but i dont think people have a single clue on wat we were doin on stage...
we did look like idoits by the way..
haha..

the second one was a dance,
which was a MUNAJAT dance...
done with the group Rabbani, whom was singing.
it was really fun and inspiritional...
the song was really nice..
the movement was simple but yet very profound...
we were wearing all white.
with white jubah nad white cape with silver accents.

but the most fun part was,
taking pictures with the artists...
hahaha...

Me and Amy Search!

The Pentomen Group with Siti

the bad part was...
eventho we were performing with Rabbani...
i didnt even took a single pic with them...
sori, Rabbani.

it was fun none the less...
i made new frens,
a few from BAR,
two from IRK,
Zul, Benny and Akmal from the teather club,

How to tie a tie?

Apricot Trees in Blossom

it seems that i guys nowadays have learnt the ways of tying a tie....
ties are really important as well as the technique u tie it...
they are one of the few accessories guys have in their outfit unlike girls which have like so many...

girls have,
  1. earring
  2. hijjab
  3. scarfs
  4. necklaces
  5. brooch
  6. hairpins
  7. hair ornaments
  8. makeup
  9. etc... u get my drift...
guys have...
  1. ties
  2. belts
dont u see the 'penindasan?'

so now guys do tend to be aware of wat they wear...
but there is still the chosen few who does not have a clue on how to tie a tie...

so sad...
i knew how to tie a tie since i was in primary school...
i love wearing a tie...
i feel dignified...
i feel important....
hahhaa...
i feel cool.

once i wore a tie to work and my collegues ask all these questions...
i just simply told them...

'i just feel like wearing it'

then my boss came to me holding two pair of ties...
he said,

'Mael! Tolong ajar ikat tie boleh?'

hehe... sure.

so,
for those few guys out there...
here is how u do it.

10 rules!

I am particularly worried of when i will have children of my own...
i would wish that i could bring them up in a city but not in the environment of a city...
u get me?

i dont want to raise my children in an environment like what it is today in KL.
it would be to hard and my gurls would be too exposed to social mishaps...

i would have to put up rules on how people are to treat my daughter especially people who she would date.

10 Rules To Date My Daughter

Farm House In A Wheat-field

Rule One:

If you pull into my driveway and honk you'd better be delivering somtin, because you're sure not picking anything up. I'll smack u on the head if u do!

Rule Two:
You do not touch my daughter in front of me. PERIOD! You may glance at her, so long as you do not stare at anything below her neck. If you cannot keep your eyes or hands off of my daughter's body, I will personally break them off.

Rule Three:
I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips. Please don't take this as an insult, but you and all of your friends are complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open minded about this issue, so I propose this:

You may come to the door with your underwear showing and your pants ten sizes too big, and I will not object. However, in order to ensure that your clothes do not come off during the course of your date with my daughter, I will take my stapler gun and fasten your trousers securely in place to your waist.

Rule Four:
I'm sure you've been told that in today's world, sex without utilizing a 'protection' of some kind can kill you. Let me elaborate, when it comes to sex, I am the protection, and I will kill you. (with Allah's permition, of course.) Get married first, PLZ!

Rule Five:
It is usually understood that in order for us to get to know each other, we should talk about sports, politics, and other issues of the day. Please do not do this.

TAK YAH NK BODEK AK!

The only information I require from you is an indication of when you expect to have my daughter safely back at my house, and the only word I need from you on this subject is

"sebelum maghrib."

Rule Six:
I have no doubt you are a popular fellow, with many opportunities to date other girls. This is fine with me as long as it is okay with my daughter.

Otherwise, once you have gone out with my little girl, you will continue to date no one but her until she is finished with you.

If you make her cry,

I will make you cry.

Seriously!

Rule Seven:
As you stand in my front hallway, waiting for my daughter to appear, and more than an hour goes by, do not sigh and fidget. If you want to be on time for the movie, you should not be dating. My daughter is putting on her makeup, a process that can take longer than painting the Jabatan Pulau Pinang. Instead of just standing there, why don't you do something useful, like

  1. massaging my back
  2. helping my wife to clean the toilet
  3. cut the grass
  4. buy me a slurpee
  5. organizing my address book.

Rule Eight:
The following places are not appropriate for a date with my daughter :

  1. Places where there have beds, sofas, or anything softer than a wooden stool.
  2. Places where there have no parents, policemen, or 4 org saksi within eyesight.
  3. Places where there is darkness.
  4. Places where there is dancing, holding hands, or happiness.
  5. Places where the ambient temperature is warm enough to induce my daughter to wear shorts, tank tops, baby T-shirts, or anything other than overalls, a sweater, Jubah - zipped up to her throat.
  6. Movies with a strong romantic or sexual theme are to be avoided; movies which features chain saws are okay.
  7. Liga Piala Malaysia games are ok.
  8. Old folks homes are better.

Rule Nine:
Do not lie to me. I may appear to be a fat, balding, middle-aged, and a dimwitted has-been. But on issues relating to my daughter,

I am the all-knowing, merciless god of your universe.

If I ask you where you are going and with whom, you have one chance to tell me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I have a shotgun, a shovel, a stapler gun, dancing shoes and five acres behind the house. Do not play with me.

Rule Ten:
Treat her with all the respect you can manage.
Love her with all ur heart...
or u will suffer the wrath of my fist!

p/s this list can only be applied to the real world if one day i would have a daughter...
either wise, plz ignore.
